The Rappahannock News is the county's local, weekly newspaper. It was purchased in 1977 by Arthur Arundel but has served the county since 1877. It is printed every Thursday with a circulation of more than 3,500. Online version is at www.rappnews.com. The Rappahannock News is part of a group of community newspapers that serves Northern Virginia and the Greater Piedmont area with a total circulation of more than 600,000. Single copy price is $.50.
